Overview

This self-study course will introduce you to the basic principles of electrical stimulation along with the physiological effects and clinical applications. Indications, contraindications, types of current, waveforms, and parameter descriptions will also be discussed. The online class is intended for medical professionals (e.g. OT/OTA, PT/PTA, Physicians, etc.) directly related to the rehabilitation of a patient or client. To participate in this CEU and receive credit, the participant must be a licensed, treating clinician. Completion of this course will reward the participant with .15 CEUs or 1.5 contact hours, following completion of the presentation and a ≥ 80% score on the quiz. You will have 90 days to complete this course.

Henry Hoffman

Henry graduated from D'Youville College in Buffalo, NY, in 1997 with a Master's degree in occupational therapy. Since graduation, Henry has worked in various settings, including home health, acute, sub-acute, and outpatient rehab. Before leaving Burke Rehabilitation Hospital in New York, he worked as a clinical specialist in orthopedic medicine and manual therapy of the upper quadrant. Henry left Burke in the fall of 2002 to co-launch Saebo, Inc with his brother John Farrell. Guided by Henry's product development, Saebo, Inc serves 50+ countries, has sold over 1,000,000 products to customers with neurological ailments, and is expanding into more products and markets every year. Henry currently holds 17 patents and developed every product in Saebo's portfolio. He has written numerous articles for popular rehabilitation journals over his occupational therapy career. Henry has presented at multiple state and national conferences, is involved with the treatment and training of clients and clinicians, and sits on national advisory boards and local group boards for people with disabilities.
